Lava Lava Beach Club - WAIKOLOA

Amazing experience! I'm very sad I'm here last night. My waitress was Kris and she had the absolutely best customer service I've ever experienced and the food was absolutely delicious. I wish I would? ve known about this business earlier, would I? ve comes back every day!! Thank you.

The music at the restaurant was excellent, featuring live performances, and you can even request birthday songs for people. We ordered the sizzling shrimp and chowder, both of which were delicious—I highly recommend them. If you visit during sunset, the view is stunning. There's also a spot nearby where you can see wild cats and turtles on the beach. We even stumbled upon a geocache during our visit, so keep an eye out for that as well. The servers were very friendly, but we did have to wait two hours for a table. Thankfully, there’s a lovely grassy area with plenty of games to enjoy while you wait, plus a food truck serving drinks. If you go, make sure to try the Moscow Mule from the truck!

This was our second visit to Lava Lava Beach Club Restaurant. Our first experience before the pandemic was enjoyable, but unfortunately, this time the food lacked flavor and was overcooked. We arrived shortly after sunset and were informed there would be a wait of an hour and a half for a table for two. Since neither of us was particularly hungry and the restaurant has a nice outdoor area for drinks and games, we decided to wait. We were seated for dinner about 30 minutes later. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the food didn't meet our previous expectations (my husband's seared ahi was better than my dry hook, link, and sinker dish). The location and view are fantastic! We might consider giving it another chance in the future.

Location of this restaurant is superb! Food is decent, but definitely pricey. We got the appetizer sampler and hook line and sinker, both of which were tasty.

The restaurant works in a first coming, first served format and does not accept reservations. We were a party of 4 and came at 5:30, and we were told that waiting was 1.5 hours. We got the text that our table was ready at 6:15! The restaurant layout is all outdoors with live music, which was really nice. We also have a nice sunset to enjoy! The food flavor was excellent, but we felt that low and slow? Baby back ribs AND the fish of the day (Monchong) were boiled a bummer because the sauces tasted so well.
