Lola's Lakehouse - Waconia

I was originally really excited for this new menu. Unfortunately it has become clear that it was just a cover up to serve food that is mediocre at best and to charge customers more. While the views are nice, the food is a huge disappointment. Everything lacks finesse and flavor and the Fish and pork chops were over cooked and needed salt. Also if you’re going to charge premium for a lobster roll how about not fill it with cheap shrimp. Also the serving dishes are questionable the portions are all off and plated terribly. The ceviche for example is just in an ugly bowl why not highlight it in a beautiful martini glass or something? The one highlight is the new wine list is great. Just wish the food was up to par. Instead it was a massive disappointment and I will never be returning.

The new menu lacks diversity and taste. Everything need more seasoning and the old many was much better!

Gulf shrimp appetizers, but not in the main meals. Chicken tasted pre cooked, frozen, reheated. Service and food preparation is the great. Steaks and walleye are good. Hash Browns used for augrautin potatoes. Should use higher quality food throughout, the preparation, service and prices deserve it.

We made outdoor reservations for a Tuesday night. We were sat inside even though 90% of the outside tables were empty. Whatever not the end of the world. Our service was so extremely slow. We waited for drinks for extended periods of time. (The restaurant was very very slow so not sure why our server gave us crappy service. My crispy chicken was anything but crispy. It had a soggy breading on it and was so tough I couldn’t even cut it with a knife. Crab cakes were good. Steak pasta tasted like vomit. Chicken wings were good. $300 later we left with an eh experience…not too long after getting home we became ill with horrible food poisoning. We alerted management and they advised they would make sure from now on food was cooked properly and sent us a $50 gift card (obviously we would never use it because we’re all a little nervous) overall the atmosphere is beautiful, service not great and food was bad.

This place has great atmosphere. Service is terrible. Have the restaurant is reserved because they don’t have staff to manage all the people. Would only seat people every 15-20 minutes because no staff. All we wanted to do is have some drinks. We’re satisfied ordering from bar. Waitress says you don’t order it’s my table you have to move. But as can see in pictures 15 other tables open. Parking is terrible.
