Bidra med feedbackLarge salad to the Cotton Patch Cafe for a free entree to Veterans Day. My wife and I both have the chicken roasted chicken and potatoes. She got land engraving and I got her tasty jalapeño gravy over my chicken. Oh, my, that was a good consolation on a cool November night. We enjoyed our meals and shared a place chocolate Dr. Pepper cake covered with ice cream. The cake would be better warm, but all in all, a first-class meal.
Content: GREAT Food!!! A decent service, environment could use some tuning. The surroundings: This place is, or would have been, the cozy café! I love the rustic decor, although some of them might be too rustic if you look at some of the metals and fittings. The majestic barriers for Covid, although comprehensible, add a dreary element to this sweet cafe. The cleaning agent they use on these beautiful wooden tables leaves them a bit sticky. The service: I was greeted with a smile and led to my table. And although friendly I wish my waitress had smiling more. When the staff frowns, it sets a mood. But I believe that this is linked to the personnel problems. Dinner was busy, a whole house, but I only counted three waiters. I even saw a waitress take drinks from a customer, then put the dishes with another table that needed buses (and had a while) and went away. I am not sure if this is a normal practice, but the short personnel questions here are obvious. Even when the night died, things were missed. My plates were never cleared, my water, although it was said, was never refilled, and my dessert lasted 25 minutes to get out and she forgot the sauce. But I am grateful for her service. Food: From the rolls to the meat jam to the Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce. This place serves wonderful tasting! I've had a little pattern today and loved everything. But get it fresh and hot right in the café! Now the real reason for this review. The butter cake. I've never heard or thought of anything like that. It is a thin, golden and crispy cake, decorated with a delicious, perfect cheese cake and covered with a light caramel sauce and whipped cream. I fell in love right away. The best dessert I've ever had. Well done!
We were a party of 5. We waited and waited, but no one came to us. Finally, someone had to go. That's why I gave a 3 for the service. As soon as we set ourselves, our waitress was great. Friendly, accommodating and attentive. The food was what you would expect from this kind of restaurant. It was delicious, but nothing imagination. Presentation was quite simple. What WAS great was the last bill. Most people ordered lunch specialties and our bill for 5 of us was under $60.00!
Tamara gets the brightest gold stars! The food was as good as usual, but the service was even better. We killed how long it would take with only 1 Waitstaff, but it was better than with 3 average servers. Are you looking for Tamara in a Marvel Comic soon? Wonder Woman of the Restaurants!
First time here and I will definitely be back! The food was very good and so was the staff!
