New York Bagel Bialy

Haven’t been here in a while but my experience was one of the best I have had in all of Chicago and surrounding area. Can’t wait to try their breakfast sandwiches:

As a native Long Islander the bagels taste as good as any bagel shop in NY. Lots of other treats as well like hamantaschen. Reasonably priced as well.

Everything about this place is great, except the hours. The people, food, everything is wonderful about this place, but they advertise themselves as being open 24/7. The issue is that this not honestly not true in my several attempts to get food on late nights or early mornings. I've had nights where I drive through the area between the hours of 1am -5am and not once have I been able to get food, only to be greeted with a sign that says “closed for cleaning, will reopen at 5:30am”. This place is super busy but well worth the wait. The owner is a super hard working guy and definitely keeps up on his quality. I always get a lox bagel from here and it's portions are so generous, the smoked salmon is some of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend.

We stopped in for the first time around 4:30p on a Friday and there wasn't a line but there was a consistent flow of customers. The person taking our order was SO kind and social — in a good way. He gave our kids free mini chocolate bagels and gave us some great suggestions. The bagels were great and my partner said his Reuben was the best he's ever had. Will definitely be back because their baked goods/desserts looked SO good.
