Aurelio's Pizza Of South Holland

I was born and raised in Homewood, IL, which is known for Aurelio's pizza. I even went to high school with Mr. Aurelio's children. I make a 130-mile round trip every six to eight weeks just to buy their uncooked pizzas, which I take home, freeze, and enjoy with my family. The Valparaiso location is owned by the Spillers family, and Mr. Spillers is always a pleasure to interact with. His employees are consistently friendly and welcoming as well.

I haven't had Aurelio's pizza in quite a while—my last experience was years ago in Joliet, Illinois. Overall, the pizza was excellent, and the sandwich we ordered was also quite delicious. It's exactly what I expected from them. I rated the atmosphere a five, although I'm not entirely sure why since there are really only two seats available. It feels more like a takeout place, but the food is definitely worth the money. Thank you!

Absolutely delicious! The sauce and crust are the best I've ever had. I love all the different pizza styles—thin, calzone, stuffed, and thick. I worked at their old location on Billings for three years. The only thing I would like to see changed is replacing canned mushrooms with fresh ones. I hope they consider opening a franchise in The Villages, FL, as all we have here is New York-style pizza!

This place has always been a delicacy in porter county. Definitely a smaller pizza restaurant/chain and always seems they are under staffed and out of control when I decide to order food. Love the crust and the sauce they use it sets them apart fromother pizza places but they seem to be stuck where they?re at as a company. Don?t order food through them unless you want towait at least 1-1/2 up and over 2 hours for your food to be delivered.

Eric is amazing! He makes the BEST pizza. I can eat here 3 times a week. And probably do most weeks. All the less that 5 star reviews are from people who clearly have zero tastebuds or were just having a bad day.
