Bidra med feedbackGourmet restaurant with select wine pairings. Very fine wine collection to choose from. Menu has very limited choice, but beautifully cooked. Not vegetarian. Service very friendly and attentive, overlooking the lake. Highly recommended.
First of all, the service at the restaurant is amazing! The food is excellent and the wine is wonderful. We really enjoyed the waiter’s experience and knowledge of wine. If you are a wine enthusiast, this is the restaurant for you! Worth the visit!
The restaurant Elysee at Park Hotel Vossevangen is simply one of the best restaurants i´ve been to in Norway, a gourmet restaurant with delicous food, definetively the best choice when staying at Voss! And with the biggest wine cellar in the country, highly recommended!
I stayed at the Park Hotel for 9 days while my wife was unexpectedly in the hospital in Voss. I ate at the Elysee five nights. I'm not big on buffets which was on offer to the tour bus crowd so I went with the al la carte menu (the buffet looked very good, for a buffet)! I found the food to be very good to excellent, not Michelin star quality but getting there. The al la carte menu is quite limited, which I view as a good thing. I had almost everything on it and can particularly recommend the seafood soup (long on seafood and short on soup, as it should be) and the salmon. Lamb apparently is moving into season and there was a special menu one evening featuring lamb, one of my favorites, excellent. Elysee is rightly known for its extensive wine list. They offered a wine pairing with the special menu which worked very well. Overall Elysee was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant in a small town.
I had booked the Elysee restaurant for last Saturday as it was my wife's 50th birthday. We were 12 people and were recommended the Elysee by friends who had been there a couple of weeks earlier. Not really sure where to start as we had all had a few drinks prior to arriving, but I promise you the drinks didn't stop, and what a night. The food was great, taking into account that this was a late night restaurant and that there was 12 of us. All of us had a terrific 2 course meal, unlimited amount of wine and spirits (can't remember how much). We smashed plates, danced on tables and all to live music. The place really has a fantastic atmosphere. It wasn't cheap but then again 65 pounds each didn't break the bank. (I've still got a hangover). Brilliant........
