We had an amazing meal here after it was recommended by the hotel we were staying at ten minutes down the road. We’d turned up without a reservation slightly before opening time but that wasn’t a problem and we were welcomed to have a drink in the garden first until they were ready. The menu was quite long and not in English but the chef explained everything brilliantly. All the food we had was lovely appetisers, pasta course and then veal, beef and pork cooked on an open fire inside. We then had deserts and coffee and complementary grappa and limoncello everything was exceptional. Only the chef spoke English but all the staff were great. It was quite busy but the service was still excellent.
Great views (go on a good weather day) down to the valley and hills from this location perched on the side of a hill above Vittorio Veneto. Simple food both well prepared, contorni are really special. Try the peppers, the Caponata, patatine fritte, Tropea onions in sweet and sour sauce. We had the tagliata, the costata di manzo, and the braciola di maiale. All quite good and large. Cooked on an open fireplace right next to us. Been there twice already, really enjoyed it. The owner can be a pill, just ignore, he is part of the charm.
Loale posizionato in mezzo alle colline non facile da trovare se è la prima volta, ma ne vale la pena. Abbiamo mangiato degli Affettati come antipasto (soppressa Veneta, ossocollo e porchetta) poi due braciole belle grandi con contorti molto buoni. Porzioni abbondanti che fai fatica a finire tutto. Ottima qualità prezzo. Ci ritorno sicuramente.
