Bidra med feedbackI went there after a cemetery service. Although it was a somber day we had a wonderful area to come to at the restaurant. The food was plentiful from the stuffed mushrooms, salad, pasta dishes, meat dishes, cookies and other dishes provided. The family did not feel rushed so we were able to catch up with each other during the meal, take pictures, and say our goodbyes before we headed to our respective homes and states. It had been an eventful and sad day but the food and atmosphere of the restaurant helped to soften the experience a bit.It helped to have a parking lot for all the cars as well.
We’ve been going to La Parma for over 30 years and it truly is one of the best Italian restaurants in Long Island and beats most NYC ones as well. Great place to gowith the family to enjoy the wonderful food.
Went for a birthday celebration with a group of 20, and the place was what you expect from a small Italian neighborhood spot. We had family style plates of appetizers and entrees, with individual pasta and salad portions. The apps, pasta, and entrees were very good, but the caesar salad was too fishy and not balanced.Definitely not a cocktail sort of place as their bartender was less experienced. Stick with the wine. A lot of people were there celebrating a birthday as well so it was quite funny to hear the birthday song as many times as we did. Overall we had a nice time.
Had take out and food was delicious. It was ready on time, tasty and hot.
The place itself is nice and the staff are overall very friendly. The food is alright, however on the pricier end compared to similar options in the area. Unfortunately, I found a hair in my food and I'm not one for commotion how others can be when a situation like this arises. As someone who has worked in food service, I made it aware to a staff member discretely to not alarm other guests. The staff member proceeded to deny that the hair was originally there because it broke into pieces when squished against the table. I'm not sure of the chemistry behind it but I imagine hair becomes brittle when exposed to high temperatures. Anyhow I didn't request for the meal to be discounted or anything but nonetheless the staff member came back to deny that the hair was there and charged us for the meal anyways. I would have appreciated at least an apology, instead I was treated like an idiot.
