Bidra med feedbackThe two of us stayed here for lunch after it was recommended by our host family. The food was really delicious and ridiculously good value for money: we had a really good soup, grilled fish, rice, salad, fresh juice and a small desert for about £6/7 (total). We found that it had tripadvisor cards in the wrong place when we last saw (it is uphill and at the end of the city towards the Palentology Museum where Carrera 9 and 10 connect).
A must after hiking! Take the day menu only 3 euros and really good food. Many locals come here and you can sit outside.
Excellent service; sitting and waiting for prompt, and food came fast. A self-service (one part) salad bar, with small saucers, but nice to have salad. We had the menu del dia, which came next to the salad with roasted pork, pure rice, mixed vegetables, Yucca (with delicious sauce), juice (watery), and dessert (small piece of cake with coffee syrup). Nice atmosphere. Attractive and authentic. We liked the salad best; the pig was dry (but we were there rather late for lunch). Lunch was just 11,000 pesos.
I chose to go to this place when I noticed that it was filled with locals. Clearly they knew something I didn't, and I was definitely not disappointed. The menu ejecutivo included a fruit/salad bar, jugo natural, and a DELICIOUS soup. The main course was incredible spaghetti with meat sauce, rice and vegetables. The whole thing cost $10,000 COP (around $3.50). Definitely the best meal I've had in Villa de Leyva.
After hiking to the viewpoint we went back to the city and saw this cozy place. Many locals where we eat here, so we thought it should be a good place for lunch. And we really don't regret it. We had the most expensive (22,000 pesos, 7 euros! Court on the menu, salmon with orange sauce. It was fabulous. You have a salad bar where you can refuel with some vitamins. Really good, especially because most of the times when you eat outdoors, it is hard to find some vegetables. They also had a lunch package (soup, rice, meat, salad and pommes for 10,000 pesos (3.30 euros). Unbelievable, they can offer so good food for so little money. Really recommended!
