Suður-vík Restaurant Café Bar

Had a delicious breakfast here, basically an English breakfast, but fully GF. Friendly and knowledgable staff. When you're staying at Norður-Vík hostel (further up the hill), breakfast is served here and is included in the hostel booking price.

Great restaurant with lots of gluten-free options. The staff was very aware of which items contained gluten and also able to tell me which modifications were made if any to the items. We had the Arctic Charr and the Lamb and both meals were fantastic.

A wonderful dinner experience! The menu has clearly labeled gluten free options and the Thai curry was fantastic. The restaurant is also very cozy and inviting and the wait staff was very friendly.

Was really looking forward to dining here- super cute atmosphere. However, some things are marked gluten free and the gf modifications make them less enjoyable (specifically we got baked Brie, but they didn’t have any gf bread so I just had to fork a few spoonfuls of Brie and watch my partner eat the rest). Lamb was great tho. Bring your own bread and you’ll have an good experience.

The standard menu has GF markings for anything that is or can be made GF. The waiter was knowledgeable, and the food was fantastic. I have allergies to wheat, nuts and sesame, and feel great after eating here.
