Bidra med feedbackExcellent Goulash soup on a cold winter day... delicious!! Great cordon blue and great apple strudel! We had a great meal.
We were looking for a cafe that offers the famous Sachertorte and found this cafe while searching along the way. Once we entered, nobody welcomed us. ONE OLD MALE STAFF was just looking at us. so we looked for a seat and this other OLD...STAFF in the counter came up to us just when we were about to sit. So we told him we need a table for three and he just said KITCHEN IS CLOSE . It was just about 7 in the evening and the cafe was packed, why was their kitchen closed so early? We only wanted to have a cake, which was already displayed near the counter, no need to cook but they still declined us. I told him again that we just wanted a take away of the cake but he keeps on saying no. HOW RUDE!!! We have never felt so embarassed. Obviously, VERY RACIST TOO!!! We are Asians and that 's how they treated us!!! I am not even surprised to see so many negative feedbacks aboout their service! i hope this gets to their management.
This was the nearest cafe recommended to us. By chance, we had walked into Vienna’s oldest cafe which has a great history. We had lovely food, coffee, and service. There is nothing to fault and I would highly recommend.
The food was so good. Big servings! Schnitzel is a must try and beef goulash! No one is going to welcome you to your table as you enter so just go find your own. No one is going to greet you or smile at you...as well, but just realize that there is only one server in this cafe (at least when we went to in November 2022 . Not particularly a welcoming atmosphere but be pls still be kind and don’t make the mistake of getting upset because the waiter must be very tired working by himself. : At least the food is 5 star!
Great old authentic cafe, but without the many tourists, super coffee an Sacher Torte, just a very nice atmosphere, especially compared to some of the other “hyped” places.
