Locanda Degli Scaligeri - VERONA

A great place for dinner (undoubtedly also for lunch). We went as a large group for dinner. Staff are very accommodating and welcoming. The food and beverages are delicious! A must-go spot when in Verona; in a wonderful area and beautifully decorated trattoria.

We spent some time locating this place after a recommendation from our daughter but, as we were only spending three nights in Verona, we could have ate at better places. You order through a tablet, this could be the primary reason for our discontent as the dishes aren’t divided into the order of food as you’d expect and I think I’d have made a better choice if it had. Secondly the bread of the pizza we ordered was harder than expected. Well, almost like bread you’d slice and butter. Service was quick, almost too quick, and staff were attentive whilst we were eating. This may not be what everyone likes. However, when it came to pay there was no one about to ask if the bill would be brought to us.. Ultimately we found we needed to go to the bar to pay. Overall, not an unpleasant experience and good value. We just wish we’d taken the many opportunities we had to go somewhere else.

Lovely restaurant providing a great atmosphere without being noisy. Warm, welcoming enthusiastic staff with good food and wine. Ordering via a tablet was a new experience and made adding to an order remarkably easy.

Ottimo posto con servizio veloce. ampio menu scelto a tavola con il tablet. Purtroppo personalmente odio le porte aperte nel bel mezzo dell'inverno. Tornero' quando sara' meno freddo.
