Bidra med feedbackWe ate lunch here on New Years Eve. It took 2 hours for three of us to have one main course and a scoop of ice cream. There was one guy doing all the work (taking orders, clearing away dishes and taking payments) and all the other staff looking busy and not contributing very much. The worst service I’ve ever had in Verbier.
This is OK but nothing special. They are a lot of places to eat in Verbier and I cannot say it is my favourite . It is OK but nothing special while the prices are quite high for what they offer.
I really can not understand all the negative reviews We wanted to eat at 4 o’clock difficult in Verbier The owner from Normandy was charming and she had fresh scallops with cep risotto , we started with fois gras maison delish and ended with tarte tartin washeddown with 2 bottles of Macon blanc , not too dear at 65 chf Superb views of the golf and mountains in autumn colours , a super experience
It’s a shame, because we had a nice lunch and it is very convenient to ski school. But, the staff was incredibly rude. I was there alone with my daughter with a disability. Our airline called about our missing bag, so I had to pick up. While I was dealing with that, I did not see that my daughter was making a heart with her hands and touching the window because she saw her father outside. Rather than coming to the table and asking not to touch the window, she began to scold my daughter, asking her if she know how long it takes her to clean those windows each morning. My daughter did not understand what she had done wrong and looked like a deer in the headlights. Meanwhile, there were 4 wet dogs running around the restaurant, but that was perfectly fine- not trouble to clean that up. Based on other reviews we read, this is not an isolated incident of someone having a bad day; these women are rude!
Was waiting an extremely long time to be seated tried to get several waitresses attention to no avail, no clear sign saying you need to wait to be seated, i then thought perhaps you just sit down at a spare table as I saw others do this, DO NOT DO THIS, was told off by a waitress. I ordered the pasta which wasn’t really worthy of the pricing. My partner wasn’t really hungry and said to the waitress taking our order that he just wanted an coffee and frites to which she lost it and slammed to menu on the table aggressively at us. I suggest if skiing at les esserts bring packed lunch and flask of coffee/hot chocolate as I agree with other comment that the staff are xenophobic, rude, and aggressive that do not deserve paying customers money, unfortunately they are the only cafe directly next to les esserts where you do need a break from time to time when learning to ski.
