Villa Au - Velbert

After the flood in July 2021 the locat is comppl. closed. The house is used differently after renovation. The operators are now in the Hirsch in Langenberg.

Beautiful premises, very delicious Italian cuisine, friendly attentive service for years one of my favorite restaurants.

Unfortunately very bad. The restaurant has come down and dirty. Kaputte sockets, missing fire detectors and also other open construction sites. The toilets had a minimum of cleanliness and too little paper. The staff was very inattentive. Drinks had to be ordered three times until they were brought. Moreover, friendliness also left to be desired. And the food wasn't as good as expected. There were 3 solid dishes at our event. Unfortunately, the restaurant was unable to hire allergy sufferers, so I could eat only one of the dishes and pommes, the rest was prefabricated. The pommes were cold and pappy, and the sauce was very economical. After we had to wait 2 1/2 hours since the appetizer for the main dish, I would have hoped more. And the dessert again had some time waiting for it, but was also very delicious. I was very disappointed and can only hope that everything will be better after renovation.

A very nice building with a great terrain. The dishes taste good and the service is attentive. The interior of the building has the slightly dusty charm of the centuries. Dark wood, height windows, beautiful wooden stairs the stick when you get up. The old city centre for a short walk. Absolutely recommended
