Fischerbarbel - Veitshöchheim

There are several restaurants in the Main site of Veitshöchheim, but I think this is the best. Food is good, servant is good, they offer also fish directly from Main and food from green market, ambient is very quiet and nice...We are visiting this place...after the VHH-visiting hours' then VHH is full of people, so it is not crowded, and we like this restaruant.

The kitchen is ok- not a gourmet one, but you will not make a mistake to have your meal there, Some specialitys about fish from the river and the region you will find on the menu and of course Frankenwein. It feeds very good, fish...and white whine. And you can watch the ships crossing the river Main. Tourists will come and go from and to Würzburg by touristboats and you sit on the balkony with a fine glass whine and watch, what is going on underneeth.

Went with a group of after lovely afternoon in the Rokoko garden nearby. Food was served with initially the wrong order taken. We accepted the incorrect meal out of politeness. Food tasted fine; nothing special but nothing bad. Location is great along the waterfront....What ruined the evening was the waitresss telling us we needed to pay up before our evening had finished.. meaning no dessert. It wasn’t late and the waitress seemed to stay on after we paid which lead to believe it wasn’t the end of her shift. Very disappointing. Wouldn’t go back.

We had such a good experience here and it started when went for walk and I asked if I could book a table for an hour later. That was ok. And we had a perfct table on the first floor at p.m. The also...serve food putside on the ground floor but we decided as tourists thst it would be really nice woth the view from above. We had the real wienerschnitzel with pommes and on the side ketchup and mayonnaise. It was really nice and a big portion. The service was nice and kind and we felt very welcome and appreciated as guests during our visit. It was a sunday and they were very busy and had been all day since the weather was very warm and summerly.
