Hembygdsgaards Cafe - Vaxholm

This was perfect in summer with the outside seats, although it was extremely busy. the lunch was delicious and the cakes were exactly what I wanted, as I look forward to some traditional Swedish tasty. the only problem is that the room where the cakes are on a large table is quite small, so it gets very crowded and there are long lines. even worse, there was only one toilet! this seemed ridiculous in view of the fact that it can be occupied and the amount of seats outside.

I was here for a cup of coffee when I went to vaxholm. to relax. it is very nice place with very pleasant service. amazing coffee.

When in stockholm jump abord a on boat to vaxholm in archipel. after 50 mn, admire the inseln with a cup coffee, they are there. a 5-10 mn walk and they come into this old wonderful caffe. mostly cold Swedish food (hering/salmon sandwiches. .wonderful baked early to get a table at the sea.

Located around the corner from the main dock on the island and housed in an old home, this restaurant offers a unique dining experience. As you wander through the various rooms, you are greeted with a selection of exquisite dishes before ending up in a backyard with umbrella-covered tables. This is a place that you definitely don't want to miss.

One of my favorite stops on our visit to Vaxholms was Vaxholms Hembygdsgards Cafe. There were so many wonderful desserts set up on a huge table and customers could pick and choose whatever they wanted. It was a great chance to sample some of the...traditional desserts as well as some that were just beautiful and needed to be tasted. It was quite crowded, but we were able to find a table for all 7 of us. It also was quite crowded at the cash register. The cafe is a short walk from the ferry and provides a very nice place to rest after shopping or visiting the castle. The only negative is that there appears to be only 1 bathroom.
