El Toro Mexican Grill - Vandalia

Interior does not match the run down vibe of the plaza. We received our food very quickly. Service was top notch. Portions were generous.

They were definitely having an off night as the chips were stale. I told our waiter he said that's all they had and the food was not hot. I don't understand this is usually one of the best Mexican restaurants around

No active bartender in this place someone finally came to get me a drink and my food order asked to see the manager but the person never showed up anywhere in the place but was told he was in the kitchen no one ever came back to the bar to ask if I wanted another drink or anything just brought the bill which was my signal to leave I guess and the manager didn 't want to talk to me either I guess food and drink was okay but customer service is horrible guess I should 've been happy to get the drink I got recommendaction for this place is 0

Lots of great menu items. I got shrimp and scallops covered with cheese sauce with rice and garden vegetables

If I could give the service and atmosphere minus scores I WOULD!!! Restaurant was freezing..service was so slow.we finished all of our queso dip and drank all of our water and STILL nobody took our order!!??
