Railtown Cafe - Vancouver

Not gonna lie, I was pretty pumped up when I saw this location was gonna be opening soonTook a little bit of time but we made it.

Saw this place on the walk to work. Had the Caesar salad with bacon and chicken. Best salad i have had in awhile. Quick and friendly service!

This location of Railtown Café opened near my office recently. Although I haven't visited the other locations, I can see why it's been successful enough to have already become a mini-chain. The room has a clean, bright look, there are some excellent local beers and a couple of wines on tap, the staff are young, and the sandwiches are good. The chicken club sandwich I had was about twice as big as I would have actually chosen to eat for lunch, but I still ate the whole thing; next time, I'll try to visit with a friend and split something. The napkins are a bit hard to find, and the woman who brought my sandwich out was notably unenthusiastic compared to the rest of the staff, but overall I enjoyed my lunch. Note that anyone who doesn't like communal tables would be unhappy.

I was introduced to this place by a friend. It is now my favourite go to place for lunch. You can create your own salad… However, I can't stop ordering 'The Chop' long enough to do it! I have also tried 'The Veggie' sandwich which is excellent. They don't skimp on the vegetables and it is full of flavour!

Decided to drop by while waiting for a friend.
