It's been awhile since we've last been back to the Market by Jean Georges at the Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver.

Vancouver has a host of wonderful restaurants and yet we always come here twice during our August vacation because the staff and food are so incredible. Kanis and Tina deliver great service and food runners explain all the delicious elements. Bar staff, Connie and Tim are knowledgeable and pleasant. We made a tasting menu by picking seafood dishes to share and everything was incredible.

This is the most upscale restaurant we visited while in Vancouver. The food was superb... salmon with truffle potatoes, lava cake for dessert. Well worth the $$$$. The restaurant vibe was kind of an old crowd & quite empty. But then again, maybe b/c it was Wednesday... I liked it regardless.
