The Landing Grill - Valrico

From all the positive things I have heard about this place I was excited to check it out. So to start I had the wings because the waitress said they were known for them. Low and behold they were fantastic and cooked to perfect with right amount of sauce. The big fish plate was average. The shrimp I upgraded to were super salty (they were blackened) and the fish was super soggy from the breading and oil. The mac salad and cole slaw was average at best that came with it. I would go back to this place for the wings but wouldn’t get the fish platter again.

The food was really good. The flatbread with the thai chili sauce was the best! The place was packed so service was a little slow, not sure if that's a usual thing. They were also out of 2 of the desserts we wanted to try which was really disappointing because the Elvis cake sounded amazeballs! But we went for the chocolate lava cake and it was delicious.

I didn 't want to cook on a Monday night around 11pm, so I headed to the Landing. They always have a game on with great viewing at every table. I was open as to what to have, so I ask my server Tasha and she said the Caesar Salad with the chicken blackened. The Caesar had lots of tasty green romaine and large quantities of chicken. I enjoyed the salad and would get it again. Thanks Tasha for the tasty recommendation.

EXCELLENT FOOD...fresh...homemade...not pre processed ...HUGE PORTIONS..Never been disappointed This visit we had the Friday fish and shrimp special...our plates were LOADED! it was worth every penny... the fish was hot and crispy fried to perfection....massive fried shrimp were perfectly done...plate was loaded with fries and homemade Cole slaw and macaroni salad (not a fan of macaroni salad....but THIS I will order AGAIN!!! Always wonderful service! Very nice selection of local beers....full service bar too! FYI bring a sweater if you get cold easy....they keep it tooooo cold at times...but better cold than hot...lol
