Apice - Valparaiso

It was a nice meal! We went to the restaurant and had to talk to the owner chef. We went back to be open. We tried grilled octopus, fish and dessert. All great, but my favorite was the grilled crispy octopus. I personally would have appreciated more if some of the pieces were not burned, but really fresh and tasty. It was good with squash and pesto sauce. Fish was grilled well. It came with really delicious potato side. We ordered chocolate fountain for dessert and again it was pretty nice. The restaurant has a good view and a beautiful garden. We used to have too much wine on the winery tour so we couldn't taste their wine. But it has a good selection of local wine. They said they changed the menu every 2 months. We would like to visit again!

Super beautiful place to dine in Valparaíso. We were looking for a nice dinner as it was close to the end of our trip, and this place was the cherry up. Food was very tasty, large selection of wine based on the recommendation of the staff. The waiter who served our table spoke well English and was very nice, although we arrived a little late to start dinner showed no haste and was attentive. The view from Resto is super beautiful. Must sit outside the weather cards!

We came to the Vday dinner and came to the restaurant immediately. We were able to choose the best outdoor spots overlooking the entire port and their Hibiscus trees were quite impressive. The atmosphere was private and half casual (I wore tights and walking jackets cuz I packed super light . There were no loud music or conversations so you can only enjoy the beautiful night with your partner. The food was good, but the price was a little steep for Chile. But it's like $130 for 2 ppl with wine pairing on Valentine's Day what you would expect otherwise ; Overall a very good experience!

This was our last meal in Valparaiso and we were so glad Apice was recommended to us. The beautiful waitress was personal and friendly. The owner/cook was invited and an excellent meal provided. The fried octopus was deliciously served with pumpkins sauce. My husband and I had the beef and fish that were both delicate and tasteful. To round off the evening, we shared a peach dessert that was complicated all night. It is an intimate place with a limited menu because what they serve and prepare is exceptional. The view is breathtaking and we could enjoy the sunset and then the beautiful lights of the evening.

Fabulous classic French restaurant using local Chilean seafood. I don't understand any of the complaints of there not being enough food. I had the duck confit which I could barely finish. Yes, the appetizers are small, but they are supposed to be as they are very rich. I also thought that the price was reasonable for the amount and quality of the food prepared. It was some of the best food I've had anywhere.
