Bidra med feedbackI am proud to live in Indiana because of this amazing organization that promotes organic agriculture right in our own backyard! They grow over 200 varieties of produce, with a focus on peas and unique products that are known for their exceptional taste and appearance. The Cream de la Crop program allows you to acquire or share a membership in the farm, where you pay for your share before harvest to help cover costs. Come harvest time, you receive a portion of the harvest based on your membership level and product preferences. You can choose from summer fruit, summer vegetables, winter fruit, and winter veggies, as well as decide between standard varieties like apples and blueberries or gourmet varieties like persimmons and pomegranate. Membership options include full for a family of 4 or more, or half for 2 people. The farm also offers guided tours and a teaching program. This review was updated on September 27, 2012.
This organic farm offers a variety of products, but many of them are overpriced. We wanted to support local farmers, but it seems like the products are being sourced from elsewhere. It would be better to support our local businesses instead. We tried out this bio-co-op for a better selection of products, but we didn't always feel like it was worth the $50 we spent each week. Some items were already damaged or spoiled when we received them. We feel like we've spent a lot of money without getting the value we expected. There was no option for refunds or exchanges, and the pickup times were inconsistent. If people are looking for quality organic vegetables, they should consider growing their own or supporting local food businesses instead of wasting money here. We won't be spending our money here again.
