With according to a friend who is a very famous LA restauranteur, hard to get in and the BEST bouillabaisse in the world. [it is!- and you will pay [in cash]. But definitely an elegant life experience. BUT after 100 years, the government wants the beach under this incredible place back. seems it will soon be raised...Don't miss it
We've been coming to Tetou for over 20 years, it's the best on the coast for Boullabaise & all other fish dishes & the lobster is to die for, you must have the Provencal tomatoes to start.If you can manage it, the tarte au framboise is exceptional & must be shared it's so big. It's a one off & always busy, just perfect.
Always love to come back to Tetou! Lovely place, professional staff, delicious food.The bouillabaisse is simply the best in the Côte d'Azur, It definitely lives up to your expectations. All the fish is great. Best to start with the Tomates Provençales and the Salade maison. The best thing of all is their Rouille, the best in the world! Love to spread it on French toast with a glass of white Ott Blanc de Blancs wine.
The specialist of the Bouillabaisse soup or the famous fisherman fish soup, originally cooked with Fish Scorpionfish, sea robin, European conger,herbs, and spices. The bouillabaisse is a speciality that is from Marseille, the fishermen used to cook on the beach when they came back from their fishing trips. Not all the restaurantes know how to cook it, in Marseille, there are 3 famous restaurants Chez Fonfon, Chez Michel and the Miramar and in Golfe Juan there is Chez Tetou. I know this restaurant for the past 30 years and l was never disappointed with the quality, freshness and service . The menu is not very long you can choose a bouillabaisse with Crayfish at 130 Euros or without at 110 euros. The wine list is not long but count about a 52 euros for a good white wine. In the menu if you do not like the Bouillabaisse you can have a Sole at 102 euro or a loup at 70 euro. No it is not cheap but it is worth to try this restaurant that is usually very busy, you have to book. Another specification they do not accept credit cards or chèques, only cash so be prepared to carry bank notes with you. Just across the road there is a valet parking, it is worth to park your car there, specially if you carry cash with you....(just a joke the place is quite safe).In summer and at the Cannes film festival you will see many film stars that are steady clients. I know the family that owns this restaurant and they are charming hard workers and professionals.I strongly recommend this restaurant if you like the Bouillabaisse !
