The Rose And Crown

This was my first visit to the Rose Crown in over ten years, and it was wonderful to see that Shea's still running it and that new locals are enjoying it. The beer seemed remarkably cheap compared to other pubs I've been to over the last week, and I really enjoyed the Abingdon Bridge ale. As it was just a fleeting visit, I didn't get to try his famous carvery this time, which I've heard all about, but I will make sure to stop by to eat next time I'm back in the village!

Best Sunday Roast around! Booked a table for a family birthday lunch, the best Sunday carvery in the area, great selection of meats and vegetables (and desserts! , fabulous value and lovely friendly service …. Very lucky to have this place in walking distance from my home.

Great place with a warm welcome. I will be going again.

Nice country pub with lovely landlord who even opened the kitchen after hours and cooked delicious (late! lunch, just to feed a group of hungry walkers!

Always a pleasure to visit The Rose Crown. The kids love Shea's food (and so do I), and we are always made to feel very welcome there. The Sunday carvery is a must-have for anyone in the area.
