Mcdonald's - Unionville

I ordered two bagel belts and apple juice from here. The bagels were not toasted and the apple juice was pretty much water.

Service is a 0 here. Placed an order in the McDonald's app to be picked up at curbside. The server brought out the order, walking slowly to the car, with a face like she didn't want to be there. Not a hello, thank you for waiting. Nothing. 0 interaction. Handed off the order and walked off. Not a single word came out of her mouth.

Mostly quick, occasionally will mess up order, but considering how many orders go through every day that's not surprising. I still have fewer messed up orders here vs other locations however.

No option to request straws and utensils through the Uber Eats app. On top of that, they're the only ones that charge delivery to members.

This McDonald's has been around for decades. It's in the same plaza as Foody Mart. Years ago, when I was an undergraduate, I offered tutoring services. A family was interested in meeting with me to get help for their son. Math was not his cup of tea.We all lived in Markham. We met here and chatted. I don't remember whether I had ordered anything. My tutoring rate was $10 an hour. I didn't hear from this family afterwards, likely because they found my rate to be expensive. Oh, well. Hope he has ditched math as an adult.I don't drop by this McDonald's often. It's across the street from CF Markville Mall. However, I visited this place for the first time since I was an undergraduate. Why did I wait this long? I was collecting Squishmallows. I needed a happy meal with a character that I didn't have. I have goals!I went through the drive thru. You circle around the restaurant to get to it. It's a standalone eatery with lots of parking.I ordered through the McDonald's app. I got a nice woman who got my order code and said that I could pull up to the window.My order consisted of the following: Happy meal with a hamburger, strawberry yogurt, apple slices, and a bottle of Dasani water Junior chickenThe woman at the window was great. I got my bottled water first, followed by my happy meal with the junior chicken in it. I thanked her and drove home.I had my food at home. I have had more happy meals as an adult that my entire time as a kid.I dig happy meals. Think portion control. It's perfect!The cheeseburger was yummy. The strawberry yogurt came in a tube. It was so easy to enjoy, without whipping out a spoon and opening up the seal on a cup. The yogurt was slightly sweet and I enjoyed the strawberry flavour.I blame happy meals for introducing me to apple slices. I don't normally slice my apples to eat them as a snack. I bite into them. It was cool to just tear a small pouch open and have slice after slice. It felt so posh and weird. The slices were yummy!I liked getting a bottle of Dasani water. I'd choose it over juice any day.I wasn't sure whether I would be full eating a happy meal for dinner, so I got a junior chicken. It's like eating a smaller version of the McChicken. It was yummy and hit the spot. I'd get it again.I did manage to get a Squishmallows character that I didn't have in my collection. I got Winston the penguin, sporting 80's vibes. He fits in just fine!I had a great experience. I hope I visit this place a lot sooner next time... haha!(370)
