Best Beef Stew on Long IslandBest Beef Stew on Long Island Only issue is I've come here two other times and they were closed 2-3hrs before the time says on two different websites. Other than that... amazing food.

Second time eating here. Both times I had the j chicken, rice and Peas and steamed vegetables. The positives are that the j chicken is really really nicely seasoned and very tasty. The rice and Peas is good and the steamed veggies are standard. Overall, I will definitely go back when visiting the area. The portion is great and I truly enjoyed the flavors. The negatives are the two times I went there they had no patties or plantain. ? I feel those are two staples in a Jamaican restaurant but ??‍. I hope they at least get the plantains going.

Very stingy on the amount of meat served but they sure give alot of rice and veggies. Some days the curry is too spicy and other days the food is salty.. it's ok place but I can get generous servings such as oxtails and chicken at tropical j but might be because they a bigger place I guess and also jamaican Bickle observes sabbath so they closes on Saturdays and on Fridays only open until sun down which I don't have a problem with but I wish they were open on Saturdays.

Naaaaaah man, they 're not getting me again. The place always looks a little run down but today when I went there, the glass door is all cracked up like someone must have thrown something at it. The only food inside the display looked to be escovitch chicken tenders or some sort of escovitch tilapia..idk. I drove there specifically for beef patties, sign in patty display says NO PATTIES . So I said ok, well let me get soup. I ordered a small chicken soup. Soup looked good. I kid you not, the woman came around the corner with a wooden toothpick picking her teeth to give me the container of soup. I was literally the only customer in there, was she going to get gingivitis in the 1 minute she could have waited for me to at least leave the restaurant without having seen it. Now how am I to comfortably eat this soup?...How? How I ask you?!?! The thing is with food at restaurants, you know in the back of your head some places don 't do things to the highest standards but blatantly doing it in front of you like it 's nothing is disgusting. I can only imagine what 's done in the back.
