Bidra med feedbackWe've enjoyed a few good meals here but tonight was well below our expectation. We ordered chicken pad Thai and chicken lo mien. The pad Thai noodles were pink! There were no vegetable strips or chicken just a ton of pink noodles. The chicken lo mien was also suppose to have fresh vegetables there were 2 snow peas and hardly any chicken. This was the most disappointing 2 dishes we've ever had. This was a take out order so maybe they took advantage of us not looking at our meal before leaving the restaurant. I don't think we will be back.
While the visual allure of this restaurant is undeniable, my dining experience left much to be wanted. Despite its grand and lavish exterior resembling a castle, the interior's exquisite details and the stunning koi pond, the food failed to match these aesthetics. The pricing seemed disproportionate to the food's quality, and our visit at 6 pm was paired by the disappointing news that sushi was unavailable despite ample operating hours ahead. It's regrettable that the flavors lacked depth, leaving a void in what was anticipated. On a brighter note, the staff, although pleasant, seemed to show preferential treatment to certain customers, which could be disconcerting. For those seeking a culinary haven where both quality and value harmonize, I'd recommend the Golden Palace in Norwich. This restaurant undeniably holds promise but falls short in fulfilling its potential.
We took two of our elders to this place for them to try dim sum and give them the experience. We knew we ordered a lot of dishes (about 10+ , but we also knew we would take the dishes home to the rest of the family waiting at home. I had to self service myself to get my own to go boxes and bags, and there's no one to check up on you unless you flag them down. They just dropped off the food and left. As we paid and left the tip on the table, we were packing our boxes and a worker asked for the check and showed us the recommended tip section and asked for more. I told her I was packing my boxes and I'd do it later. Who comes back and asks for more tip when you barely serviced us? I then went on Yelp only to find that someone else had a similar experience not only a month ago. Not a shock. I'm all for supporting family owned, but the service today left a sour taste with our family and we won't be coming back. You're better off going to Foxwood 20 minutes down the road to enjoy your day.
Dimsum is only until 3pm. The place can be a bit too loud. The bathroom was unkept and needs an upgrade. The soft shell crab was very good but outside of the dimsum selection.
This place makes the BEST EVER miso soup! I've been several times and the food is delish every time. The staff is all very friendly as well. Open floor plan leads to a loud environment at busy dinner times. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
