It is your average everyday, small town Cafe. No complaints. The staff was nice, and the food was on par with the norm. The small buffet was nice, and they had FRESH fruit with it! This place is a constant go to! Everytime we have gone here we have been served by the most friendly servers! This last time we called ahead, because we were running a little bit late. We arrived about 15 minutes before closing. They said, please come! They cheerfully served us a delicious diner fare dinner. Prices were reasonable. Just keep in mind, this is not fine dining. This is a local diner. Most everyone here has the same open friendliness which you find all over Potter County. I have been here when everyone knew everyone and a fun conversation bounced back and forth between multiple tables and the staff. This place might be okay if you know what to order but I had the fried chicken dinner and it was absolutely disgusting! Another woman ordered the same thing and said it was terrible. I didn’t eat much at all because it tasted like cheap Banquet chicken out of a box. Yuck! When we checked out, the waitress even admitted that she knew it was bad and she SHOULD HAVE spoken up and said something when I ordered. I expect more from a small town diner so they lost a couple customers forever. Our meals were about $20 each including the iced tea and lemonade and she gave us a whole $3 discount. What a joke. I personally wouldn’t have tipped her at all but my date is too nice. My meal should’ve been free or AT LEAST half price because she knew, in advance, that it was bad.
