Bidra med feedbackAfter my return from Ulm and the study of manowars-Barfüßer entry, after the review of address, homepage and local names, including the consultation of Google, my vague irritation. Were we really in the same location? Or was the brewhouse turned to the left and completely changed? A great mystery. During my visit on Easter Saturday, the “Barfüßer” is in any case located directly in the city centre of Ulm, completely without a parking space, an elevation or a view, with a well-attended bus stop in front of the front door. This is also appropriate in the presumed consumption of alcohol in the brewhouse. In the same building, the Riku Hotel, which certainly provides many additional guests, is also located from the outside. The huge restaurant has the mass of an industrial hall and is furnished with the gully shiny, wood-loaded pseudorustic ambience. Red light does not exist, for this there is a striking “cron lamp” made of beer bottles. An anger that I have no photos of the interior – the evening offered too much distraction and conversations, so I almost forgot my documentation obligations. The Ulm visit is dedicated to a reunion with a former school friend, whom it has swept here a long time ago and who gives us the “Barfüßer” (a bit like manowar02). However, we have to cancel the carefully reserved foursome table spontaneously because our respective halves are prevented by inequalities. A happy circumstance, for this happens to be assigned to us a quiet, remote table on the edge. The service is less often over here, but one is also protected by the obvious, loud and loud ceremonial mood of the dilapidating group of friends. Even before this brewhouse, the spirit of time has not stopped. On the map you will find among other things the currently unavoidable Bowls or a Alm-Burger with frits, but also traditional ones such as a bottle soup, oxenbäckchen mit Spätzle, porkshaxe with semmelknödeln or Münchner Weisswürste. Whether the motto “traditional, regional, homemade” can always be resolved, however, is too doubtful. We also weaken something this evening. We therefore only choose the Swiss sausage salad (9.90 Euro) and the Allgäuer Kässpätzle (14.90 Euro). The friend tries to make the local cellar pils tasty, but I prefer to take a look at the manageable but surprisingly attractive wine offering. Juhu, there is even a white wine cuvée from Lake Constance Winder dishes on offer. Even the in-house spirits would lure me, but at the end of our visit I even forget that... The sausage salad portion is lush, with a solid mixture of Lyons, cheese strips and cucumbers, only on the onions was saved. But maybe the supplies couldn't stand this mortal storm anymore? On the other hand, the Spätzle are clearly not home-made, in addition cooked softly and rather something for toothless journey. Only the supplement salad comes in a fresh and crisp manner. The consistently youthful service is trimmed with kindness, but is clearly under pressure and has a lot to get away. Some table rows have left a group of their just abandoned places as if battles had taken place. It's a miracle how the battlefield can be restored in a few minutes. My appreciation to the service team! But people seem to be really well occupied here. The toilets are also tipped and in the best condition. As I have seen, the “Barfüßer” now serves several locations and could develop into the popular chain. For me, it looked very like mass production. But the guests determine – and apparently most of them enjoy themselves very well. I myself will not come a second time.
