Bidra med feedbackThis is our second visit to this restaurant. Whenever we are in Udipi, we will make sure we visit the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Excellent hospitality and quick service. Beautiful interior and dining decor. Adequate quantity of food and great taste. Just one suggestion, based on the theme inside the restaurant, if they can change western music to any Indian classical or raga. Something which reflect the decor. Otherwise perfect place for a perfect family meal. Try their fish especially ghee prawns or chicken roast, gudbud ice cream and mutton roghan josh.
Food was decent and drinks are good. Coconut oil was used in everything making it weird who aren't used to it. Service was really slow and expect to atleast an hour if you wanna try the special dishes.
Two days I wandered and was literally struggled to find good restaurants having great option and dishes. Finally found this. Though we were late for lunch but they entertained us. We were two families with kids. Neat and clean and nice ambience. Ordered veg and non veg dishes all tasted awesome . Serve time was also quick. Staff were so cooperative and happy to serve nature. If you are visiting Udupi , go nowhere visit here. They have good collections of drinks as well. Overall it was great experience here after trying here and there.
It was the new year eve and my family thought it'd be a better option to dine out. So we stepped out unplanned and sought suggestion from the auto rickshaw driver. They came up with couple of good restaurant names of which they insisted on visiting Malika Fine Dining. We reached the restaurant which is housed in the White Lotus Hotel and found almost about 5 7 families already waiting. This led to late realization of need to be early as it's new year eve. The restaurant manager Mr. Sharad Kotian politely informed us a waiting time of at least 20 mins. And looking at the tables we noticed that many had just started ordering food, we started exploring other options. We were family of seven and it would easily have taken more than 20 mins to accommodate us. After doing all our maths we arrived at a logical conclusion that we will stay to experience Malika Fine Dining's hospitality. Now since we took a gamble we really hoped the experience be a better one. Finally, after wait of 20 mins. approx. the person from the restaurant came over to enquire the count of persons. By now we were the only people waiting all others were accomodated as the family size were lesser. Oh by the way we were just in luck as one of the families couldn't bear the waiting time and decided to walk out as they had probably felt the restaurant was not managing the guests on first cum first basis. Any ways we got a cozy place to seat it was nearing 10:30 PM which is their last order time. So as soon as we found our comfort the waiter rushed in to take our order. He helped us with ordering by suggesting the food options and drinks. As we started the food also arrived at a decent pace. The tandoori platter was good, followed by Drums of the heaven, surprisingly the shallow fried rava coated brinjal slices were a delicacy and we thoroughly enjoyed it. That's a recommendation if you are there. Being in Udupi we preferred local cuisine so ordered Kori Roti though we had already tasted it but wanted to feel the consistency and texture of the chicken gravy cooked in coconut milk which gives it richness. And we were not left disappointed. I generally am in the favor of tasting local cuisine when at a new place. My kids still wanted to have hakka noodles which satiated them. The service was fast but at times needed to wait to get attention ahhh...I got my drink which was speciality of the day a wee bit delayed....!! the only other detractor if I may say for being unable to use the correct word. But it was worth the wait. Overall it's worth visting if you are in Udupi.
A Vergil’s place to have food. It is served in a banana leaf and very clean. The staff are courteous and the food delicious. Had ordered roasted paneer ghee, beer Dosa with bhindi gojju and herekai ridge gourd rawa fry, curd rice and butter milk all dishes were delicious . To top it all we ordered gadbad ice cream which was amazing. A must visit place
