Thaicafe - Twentynine Palms

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The Pad Thai was delicious, and I appreciated the extra peanuts I requested. The C3 Yellow Curry was fantastic as well; they were more than happy to accommodate my custom order, adding pineapple and allowing me to have both pork and tofu. It was loaded with ingredients. The A8 Pork Salted was tasty, and I enjoyed dipping it in the peanut sauce. The staff was very accommodating to my requests, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The portion sizes were generous for all the dishes. I will definitely be ordering from here again. For Marines, they deliver on base without any issues.

My main complaint stems from the long wait time for my order. Although I placed my order, the restaurant never officially accepted it, despite providing me with a pickup time. When I arrived, they acknowledged the order but hadn’t accepted it because they weren’t certain when it would be ready. Although the restaurant didn't seem busy, they might have been short-staffed. A very friendly staff member helped me and pushed my order through, but I still had to wait an additional 35 minutes. Given this experience, it might be better to dine in at the restaurant.

Oh my goodness, the Tom Kha soup is genuinely the best I’ve ever had in my life—I'm not joking! This place is amazing. The Kai Kaw was incredible as well, and the Tom Yum? Simply fantastic! Without a doubt, this is the best Asian food in 29 Palms.

We love this restaurant, and this is our favorite dish from here is more like regular broccoli instead of Chinese broccoli, but still very delicious. My Wife and I get this every time we order something from here. MUST GET still. The Pork thats cooked with it paired with the rice is just a delicious meal. Good portion but is a bit pricey in our opinion, then again, were in the desert and just thankful for this place! Keep it up Thaicafe!

Usually really like their food. However this time was a huge disappointment. The food was cold. It wasnt made how the order was asked. For a $17 curry meal you got literally one cup rice and 5 thin slice of chicken strip sliced up in a three cup container of broth. Not worth it at all.
