Bidra med feedbackDisappointed by the quality of the execution of dinner. We got an overcooked salmon with grilled vegetables which were so badly burnt it was imposible to eat them. Too bad the other plates were ok.
A gorgeous setting among the vineyards with a classic, meaty, asado grill. You will not need dinner after an afternoon visit here. Try both white and red wines to pair with the various courses. Those there is plenty of robust food, some of the white wines pair surprisingly well. We loved Catena's Cabernet Sauvignon with the foods from the grill. They also had a vegetarian option.
Matias of Vitis Travel arranged an asada vineyard luncheon but since not enough other customers, Salentein, cancelled. Matias was very upset but the chef came to apologize and offered to serve us a kitchen prepared asada. It was too hot outside anyway. We happily agreed...to enjoy lunch in their AC restaurant with a view of the vineyards and Andes from their ceiling/floor windows. Delicious food and wine (Salentein is a favorite). The outstanding thing was their dulce de leche lava cake WOW!
The meal is great and comes with a lot of wine. So I will suggest skipping the tasting because it is expensive.
We stayed at Posada Salentein. We ate at the Killka a couple of times. The setting is quiet, peaceful in the vineyards. Food is good. Overall highly recommended.
