Bidra med feedbackMy wife, and I walked in ,and was met by some guy wearing a light blue button down shirt. He looked at us, smirked, grabbed menu 's, and walked toward outside seating never once looking at us or saying a word, we followed... He walked toward one table, then another where he literally threw the menu 's onto the table, and walked away. At that point t my wife said to me; We should leave. We talked about it, and I convinced her we should stay, try the food, and find out who this rude guy is ... The food was as bad as the rude guy who walked us to a table... As we were leaving I asked one of the cleanup guys about the guy with the blue shirt, and permed hair, the cleanup person told us his name is Chris ... Chris is one of the reasons we will never stepfoot into Tucson 's Sushi garden.. BTW, the waitess Caroline was a very helpful person who treated us with a mutual respect. Maybe Caroline should take Chris 's job, and Chris should find a job that makes him happy...
If I could give a zero stars I would. My friend and I just left here after having probably the worst dinner of our lives. I didn't get her name and honestly didn't care to ask for it but she has razer shark shark teeth. So rude, did judge us from far away with stares, rude manner, and standing right next to us with the check for five minutes almost like she was eager for us to leave. DO NOT GO HERE. Sushi is warm and not good.
Okay spot, used to be better in my opinion. Came specifically to sit outside and enjoy the heat with some misters(crazy I know), but the misters don't work and the server said they haven't worked for months. Sad because it's the middle of summer! Instead they sat us inside with a different server. Service was okay, could tell the server was new by a few mistakes with our order, but nothing major. Sushi came out almost immediately which is nice(but I also wonder). Overall, will most likely come back if somebody else wants to go.
This place has lost it luster and in my opinion it's not even close to the quality of other sushi houses in Tucson. For some reason they are still busy on a regular basis. For the price and quality I would suggest expanding your sushi tastebuds to some smaller family owned spots like Sushi O.
I'm sorry to say I was not impressed with the sushi here. They seated us in the bar weird when we arrived at 12 when they opened but ok I guess, even though the table had a thick sticky type of top on it. The bartender was nice enough though, and brought us our spicy tuna roll fast and my miso soup fast. The soup was ok, but the quality of the sushi I had an issue with. It was like a paste inside and overall kind of a big loose roll. When I let her know, she insisted that's how all spicy tuna rolls were. I let her know I used to be a waitress in a sushi place (probably before she was born since it was 30 years ago but I didn't say that) and I'd never had spicy tuna like that. She kept telling me in LA that's how it was. Eye roll here, as I was rollerblading up and down the boardwalk in Santa Monica in 1992 and I know what fresh fish is and this ain't it hon, but whatever!! I know it's lunch and let's move on we replaced it with yellowtail, supposedly cut from the fish and not in a paste like consistency. I'll show a pic. To me it looked exactly like the spicy tuna:not appetizing. I brought it home for my boyfriend, who grew up in LA. He said it was diced fish and not good. It had a fishy taste which means it's old. His words: it's like it's all ground up in a food processor. On a better note, the shrimp tempura in the bento box was light and crispy, and the salad and noodles were flavorful. However, the point of going to a sushi place is to get good sushi. I will not be returning.
