Love this historic diner. The Martinis are 10 oz and they really know how to make then. Food is great! This is the old school restaurant you have been looking for.

Terrible! I ordered the shrimp and grits WITHOUT sausage. I received my plate and the grits were cold and there was not ONE shrimp in the dish! I started to leave but was asked to let them remake it, so I stayed. The second bowl comes and there is plenty of shrimp, but the grits were only lukewarm and it had sausage in it even though my order was for NO sausage. This was not a good experience. Nothing like bad food that leaves you still wanting something else to eat.

The food was disappointing. I should have known when I ordered my country fried steak and they asked me how I wanted it cooked, that something was off. In all my years I have never been asked that for country fried steak, even my 17 years in restaurants. The fried steak wasn't even made fresh, it was cheap frozen patties you find in the frozen food isle at grocery store. The mash potatoes were good. The staff was nice.

The food is pretty good, but the service is THE WORST. Pretty much consistently. And unfortunately, it seems to be just one server and I 'm not sure how I keep getting him. I 've been on different days and at different times (it 's very close to my home), but I cannot shake this guy! He 's Caucasian and middle-aged and is always wearing a rainbow mask. I believe his name is Elvis. The service is slow (I 've had to stop other servers just to get a glass of water) and he is by no means courteous or even polite. Just because you call me sugar or baby doesn 't mean it 's ok to take 15 minutes for a coffee refill or an extra ranch. This last time I was there I decided the next time I 'll have to ask to be sat anywhere but his section. I used to be a server. It 's hard to know when it 's time to get on to something else. Because people do wear you down. I 'm pretty sure it 's his time.

Ordered burger and fries as a test....first visit. Burger was cooked to perfection...in other words, it didn't taste as if I were eating a salt-shaker....perfectly seasoned. Fries were not overcooked and they were the correct size...not too small and not so large that the fries could have been a meal. Will I return?...ofcourse. Could use more lighting, but other than that...the employees were fantastic and efficient.
