Bidra med feedbackWhat can I say about Mama Rosa’s? Well let me tell you. This is absolutely the best italian restaurant I have ever eaten in. Not in Hamilton, or Mercer county, or NJ EVER!!! The pizza is the best I’ve had in NJ and every entree has been outstanding. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and our Aunt said her meal was the best she’s had since she visited Italy. Gino is wonderful, he comes out and greets every table and asks how you enjoyed his food. Once, I wanted a deep dish pizza, not a thick sicilian hard crust, a deep dish where the crust is soft and chewy inside. No one makes a pizza like this around here, not even Uno’s who claim to be a Chicago deep dish. Gino knew exactly what I wanted and made it perfectly. I haven’t found anyone who makes a pizza like that in thirty years. I thought I made good spaghetti sauce Gino’s is better than mine and the only other person besides myself that puts chopped black olives in it. His marinara is so good I would pour it on corn flakes and eat it! Don’t get me started on his soups. His potato horseradish is so good he ought to send out text and email alerts when he’s making it. The only complaint I’ve ever had is with the idiotic teenage staff he has been forced to hire. If he’s not there for any reason they will sit on their phones and ignore the customers. Annette was the best waitress ever. We miss her and wish she was still there. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Mama Rosa’s. Gino we hope you’re in business for years and years to come.
This is well worth going out of your way and making the trip! Here is why: a very authentic, family style Italian restaurant: unpretentious, intimate, and local. It feels like eating at a large table in Mamma's living room. a truly unique experience, only rarely found outside Italy! A real gem! nothing chi chi, nothing corporate, informal and warm BYOB amazing food all is good! super fresh ingredients easy parking in back of restaurant truly family style portions also family style prices nothing beats a business where the owners are a hands on family! They look after everything and the result is fantastic! LOVE the place!
Friendly service, cozy space, clean bathrooms, delicious pie, pasta and eggplant parmigiana. Great portion sizes. Family-friendly. Appreciate the water refills. Good prices. Good spot to eat after visiting Grounds for Sculpture.
Creamy mushrooms soup was delicious, penne vodka plate was a must, they cooked with some Italian chorizo or ham, is very good, enough for one person.
What a great gem of an Italian restaurant! This very unassuming place was fantastic. Service was a bit slow, but for a Sunday afternoon the place was packed. The shrimp scampi appitizer was wonderful and the leftover scampi sauce was perfect for dipping the hot fresh bread in. The lasagna was delivered to me by the owner who explained it was his mom's recipe. It was delicious. We also had the tomato pie which was tasty as well. And lastly we had the gnocci and shrimp in a blush sauce that the chef said was his favorite! I can see why. Prices are great for the portions.
