First class tasty food (we’re vegetarian), excellent, friendly service (relatively new there), other staff members welcoming and engaging. Clean, warm, comfortable and with a great view over the wildlife pond. Dog friendly too so a bonus point from us.

A great place to eat, great service and good food. I have been here a few times and have never had a bad experience so would definitely recommend this place. There is a very lovely shop selling good quality items and Sean who works there was very informative and helpful. I will definitely be back again.

Noted some of the grumbles and all I can say is, if you don’t want an excellent Christmas lunch, served by friendly waiting staff in an atmospheric timbered area (with a very friendly cat); don’t go! It also managed to convey a very Christmassy feeling in the dining area, even though we were the first in. The food was cooked to perfection; both the beef and the turkey and the portions were quite enough, the terrine was terrific and the puddings superb. To cap it all we were treated to a peacock on the way out. There’s also a tempting little shop with a well-stocked and appealing meat fridge which looked so inviting it would have been a lot emptier but for the beady eye of my wife! My only little quibble was that, for the price, we were deprived of red cabbage and given carrots instead, otherwise we will be back the next time we’re in the area.

Fabulous, food and the service was really friendly. It will be on of my regular places to visit when I’m in that area. Organic, Fresh and local.

Called for lunch with our dog. Seating outside but was allowed in the conservatory area with our pet. Staff all very friendly and polite. Ordered an all day breakfast and a toasted cheese sandwich and a portion of chips/dip. Food arrived promptly and if I realised how big the portion of cheese toastie was, I wouldn’t have had the chips. It had a side salad, lots of crisps, coleslaw and a lovely chutney. The meals were all very tasty (toast was slightly burned with the breakfast) and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Little shop was quite pleasant and reasonably priced items. Outside area looks a little run down and car park is very muddy and wet. Would still return if in the area
