Raja's Curry House - Townsville

Have long taken Indian food away from here – it was always delicious and good. rogan josh, butter huh, seafood curry and rice. the butter chicken was simply ok, but very watery. the other two were watery, tasteless and a real disappointment. the rice was muddy and tasteless. used to take a good food for a reliable. not now. I don't know who cooked tonight, but I'm not gonna go back there. great shame.

Delicious with great serves of meat. Great flavors, heaps of meat, not like many other places which have a large amount of sauce and some meat. Complimented with fresh tasty naan bread and crispy poppadoms. Lovely and helpful service, ordered the night before so everything...was ready to go, and in easy box to carry. Also very good value. Southern guests were very impressed.

Decided to give Raja’s Curry House a go for some takeaway Indian as it was the closest one to my location. And in saying that i would drive to the other side of town in the future if i had to. Ordering your meal is...an easy process and the lovely lady serving is very helpful in helping you choose the right curry for your palate, ie hot hot or mild. I wanted a Vindaloo curry and ordered the beef madras with vindaloo hotness. The lady explained that their vindaloo was extremely hot and suggested I have a taste before ordering. I thought this was very nice of her even though I love hot n spicy. I tried the vindaloo sauce and yes it was hot and probably too spicy for most but it was so delicious. I had a garlic naan bread and a raita which were both nice. The only thing was the raita had some carrot through it which was a bit strange but it was nice. I couldn’t fault my meal or the service from Raja’s and would definitely eat from there again. It was also reasonably priced. Well done ladies I really enjoyed my meal.

I traveled to Australia and its most delicious and authentic Indian curry I had in Australia. the second best I ever had in Australia or india.

We have gone to rajas for years and have always received amazing curry! the sauce and the meat is very fresh and always delicious! definitely recommend!
