Bidra med feedbackServing quite good Indian Food but the prices are a bit on a higher side and is mostly above the prices of most of the Indian restaurants. I suggest them to lower their prices a bit. The Food tastes amazing.
Unexpectedly good indian food! I think their best dishes are the spinach lamb and dhal! Especially their dhal. One of the best dhal's I've had in a long long time. If you dine in, they can get slow if their busy.
Festival of Food (FOF) is kicking off in May 2018! Watch out for the brochure invitations in your mail box as they will start to arrive soon. The app is already available. You can search your app store to access the app now. Previously I have always tried to take advantage of the offers in FOF, simply because of the reasonable price and the variety of dishes we can try. Yesterday, Tina and I started our first adventure this year, British Raj.
Hands down the spot for authentic Indian food in Mile End. Every single curry on the menu has been a smash hit. Personal favourite is the Daal Veg Korma. Traditional Indian decor that matches the quality of food. 9/10<br/ <br/ Hot Tip Meal for one special $20 <br/ <br/ Extra point for large servings and fresh ingredients.
I first discovered this little gem through the 'Festival of Food ' many moons ago. My aunty and uncle speaks highly of this place and regularly frequents it. Regardless, I was overdue for a visit. Before you even enter the establishment, the delectable smells wafting out into the carpark would stir any palate. In need of a renovation, one would be forgiven to conclude not to expect too much from this restaurant. It is rather drabby and the terrible lighting does not help. However, the staff are friendly, courteous and loyal. I recognise one of the staff from my first time here. Always a good sign of staff retention ability when you see a familiar face.Water was offered and poured upon seating. Menus distributed, we quickly made our selections. Entrees arrived in the form of pakoras, chicken tikka and fried mushrooms. All was lovely, except for the mushrooms. I didn 't rate it, because it was rather beige and boring. Still, the portion was generous.Continuing our sharing is caring philosophy, our mains consisted of the prawns masala, butter chicken, aloo gobi and beef vindaloo, accompanied by safron rice, steam rice and naan bread. Every main was delicious, although the vindaloo is considered extremely hot to most, so diners beware. Only order it if you can handle the heat. I 'm a massive capsaicin fan, however, I found it a little too warm, which can ruin your dinner if that was your only chosen main.Note the memorabilia and famous signatures decorating the space. It is a good place to eat, will definitely return in the New Year with friends in tow.
