If you ever feel like a quirky night out at a GAY-FRIENDLY establishment - look no further than The Beaver.In the span of one Sunday evening of karaoke, local beer and conversation, I got invited to an art opening, sang some 80s tunes, and meet enough hipsters to fill my annual intake of kale.The bar is unassuming and small, but the intimacy makes it all worth it. Patrons tend to be friendly, but slightly artsy and 'hip' to the point of being hard to take seriously.The staff are friendly and responsive, and do a good job of keeping drinks coming.It's a good place to let loose and celebrate hipsterdom for an evening.

I really enjoy this place. Stopped by for coffee after an art show nearby. Had 2 Americanos for a super reasonable price, barkeep was friendly and service was also great. VERY interesting wallpaper! Will come back for dinner.

Great bar with a small menu. The taps are pretty good, and the patio out back is a hidden gem in the summer. Drinks are pretty reasonable as well.

The server Michelle was very knowledgeable about the menu and bar and gave good recommendations including about the cub party later. Very natural

Interesting menu selections. Tends towards comfort foods. The day I was there, I had a lovely lamb stew. Found the service to be disinterested/distracted. The guy seemed more interested in chatting with a guy near his counter than looking at us directly. Any questions we had were answered, but always with the sense we were a distraction from something more interesting. Would go back again. Good food, good value.
