Genji Sushi - Toronto

This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. The service was terrible and the food was not good. I am only giving it 2 stars so others can be aware of my experience.

The sashimi was enjoyable, but the Maki rolls were not. The rice was tough and the rolls were falling apart.

Wow! This place exceeded my expectations. The tofu appetizer was so soft like butter and the best tofu I've ever had. The tuna and avocado maki rolls were AMAZING. And customer service is great. Highly recommend!

I drive 8km across the Danforth and pass many many sushi places to go all the way to VP and Queen for this sushi. This place is the best of the typical sushi restaurants around Toronto. It's not eclectic but still excellent. Fresh fish, fast service. Highly recommended.

This place used to be really good years ago (before the fire) but sadly the quality has dropped off in a major way had Dynamite roll recently and it arrived without spicy mayo or even the roe.This used to be my go to spot but unfortunately there are other, much better options in The Beach.
