Daddyo's Pasta & Salads - Toronto

A beloved establishment near UofT, Daddyo's is my top choice for local dining close to campus. The pasta is not only affordable, but also delicious. My friends and I absolutely love the pesto pasta and we often find ourselves craving it. Whether dining in or taking out, the experience is always enjoyable. I have sampled a variety of their pasta dishes and have never been disappointed, but the pesto pasta definitely stands out as a favorite. One standout feature of Daddyo's is that they offer half-size portions, which is perfect for those with smaller appetites like myself. Additionally, their fudge brownie is a must-try - warm, moist, and decadent. If you're in the downtown area, in the mood for pasta, and looking for a budget-friendly option, Daddyo's is the place to go.

This restaurant is amazing! The owners and staff are incredibly friendly, the service is top-notch. The food is delicious and the drinks are reasonably priced. It's a perfect spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The ambiance is cozy with plenty of space for guests, and it's located on a charming corner on Spadina. Overall, this is one of my favorite places because of the excellent and efficient service, the tasty pasta dishes, and the convenient location near the UofT campus.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is laid-back (you pay upfront and grab your own water and utensils) and you can essentially customize your own pasta dishes. The pasta is cooked perfectly al dente, and you have the option to add on a fresh warm bread for just 99 cents. They offer both half-size and full-size portions. I ordered a full-size portion, which was a bit too much for me, so next time I would opt for a half-size portion and maybe try an appetizer (the cheesy garlic bread looked tempting).

Glad I decided to pop by after looking at it for so long! Stopped by Monday night just before 7pm and managed to get 2 seats right after the place started filling up like crazy that people had to do takeout . The staff are super friendly and when you're ready you go to the counter to order. While you wait, there's a water stand with reusable cups and a shelf with a bin to put your used dishes underneath. We ordered full portions of the fettuccine alfredo $7.99 and the mexi meat lasagna $11.99 . Both were served at our table while forks were to be picked up at the counter no probs . The portion didn't look filling at first, but mmMM was it good /and/ filling! ! The creaminess of the sauce was just right, not too salty. And the meat of the lasagna was surprisingly tasty with the taco seasoning and the provided bread evened everything out. The staff sprinkled quite a nice bit of parmesan if we wanted, and of course we said yes. We also ordered the tomato bocconcini pita to go $9.99 , which was also pretty good, but if you're not a veggie lover like myself, I would stick to the pastas. Also, I appreciate how the staff asked if I would like a bag and/or plastic utensils because implementing that eco-friendly lifestyle~ Overall, I recommend this place to students and public alike! Definitely will be back for more when the pasta craving hits.
