D Spot Dessert Cafe - Toronto

The dessert place is great, but the portions are too large for one person. We tried the Sweet Cinnamon and Nuts for Peanuts waffle. The Sweet Cinnamon was amazing, especially with the caramel sauce. The Nuts for Peanuts was a bit too chocolatey for our taste. The portions were huge, so we suggest sharing one between two people. The service was not the best, as the waitress made us feel unwelcome, but the food was served promptly. The atmosphere of the shop is very charming and the decor is perfect for a date.

My friends and I visited this restaurant the other night. We were told there would be a 25-minute wait, but we were seated in just 10 minutes, which was great. The restaurant was busy, but there seemed to be few staff members behind the counter, with only one girl serving seated customers. Our food and drinks arrived quickly, and the portions were huge, so sharing is recommended if you have a small appetite. Everything we ordered was delicious and well-presented. Our server was friendly, but we were disappointed when we finished our meal and had to wait for the bill. Our server seemed to be ignoring us while taking orders, delivering food, and cashing out other tables. Eventually, a man came over and offered us more water, and we asked him to let our server know we were ready to pay. It seemed like there were too many staff members standing around behind the counter, while only one person was serving multiple tables. Despite this, we still had a good time and would consider coming back to give it another try.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The cake was tasty but dry and stale on the outside. The pistachio milkshake was warm and soupy, with the pistachio chunks sinking to the bottom. It seemed like they forgot the ice cream. The service from our waitress was also very poor. The overall price for the meal was excessive. It might have just been an off day, but I hope to have a better experience in the future.

Monster size portions here. This waffle could even be shared with 3-4 people. The toppings on the heaven on earth waffle make it very rich and decadent. The brownie bits were nice and soft. The ice cream tasted like it was good quality but I 'd opt for a vanilla ice cream with chocolatey toppings next time for a better balance of flavours. I recommend looking at the menu before visiting since it 's so extensive. This place could also use some music but has lots of seatingand nice decorations.

Loved their dessert we ordered, crepe with fruits and brownie bits. Good sized portions. Right next to Nando's so you can have both dinner and walk over for dessert. Would recommend as there is main Demetres in downtown area.
