Usually a friend here for lunch. good fresh food and excellent service.

Christmas dinner was disappointing. It was a prix-fixe menu with no choices other than beef or turkey dinner. The turkey was dry with a layer of mushy stuffing. Soup, salad and dessert were fine but not exciting.

We arrived for a business lunch at 12:15. When we arrived, we were told that there was no lunch menu available that day. Instead, only a hot table buffet was available for $20 a person. While the hot table buffet seemed fine, it was not what was advertised. The buffet was what I would expect at a training session, not appropriate for a sit down lunch. So our group of 5 had to try to find another place to have lunch on a Thursday afternoon in the downtown core exactly when 90% of the office workers downtown are trying to do the exact same thing. Disappointed, we could not try the menu and I was not informed before we arrived that there was no lunch menu available. So, be careful if you make a reservation here.

Arrived a bit early and were seated right away, served with ice water and bread basket while looking over menu. Very good variety of choices. Food was enjoyed by all. Service was right on. Seemed to anticipate our needs. The restaurant has a quiet setting so you can have a normal conversation with others. It was a very good experience all around.

Came here at 10pm for a late night drink and snack. We weren’t seated and were told to sit “wherever” after standing around for 5 minutes or so.We ordered a starter and a pizza after waiting another 10 minutes for someone to come take our order. We weren’t told of any issues or delays, and were told the food “wouldn’t take long”.After waiting over 50 minutes, I was able to finally flag down a staff member who told me “sorry there is only one chef for the whole hotel, there’s nothing I can do”.Could you have said this when we sat down? When we ordered? After we waited 30/40 or 50 minutes?After 1 hour, 10 minutes, the food finally came, and was bland, salty and poorly seasoned. We asked for some more water after an hour waiting, and were told “wait.. 2 minutes”. 20 minutes later we finally got some water to go with our salty food.Overall a terrible experience, poor communication and average food. Won’t be coming back again.It could have been worse, the person behind me waited over an hour for a scoop of ice cream!
