Margaritas Jalisco Mexican - Topeka

My wife and I have been dining at this restaurant regularly since it opened. Despite the abundance of Mexican restaurants in Topeka, this one has become our favorite. The service is always excellent and the food is delicious.

I regret not getting the server's name tonight because she was amazing. I was a bit concerned when we arrived because the host who seated us did not say a word, but the server more than made up for it. She was the only server I saw for the first 30 minutes, yet she managed to attend to all her tables, including ours. She was polite, checked in regularly, and our food arrived quickly and exceeded our expectations. If I could give this restaurant a higher rating, I would do so based solely on her exceptional service.

I highly recommend trying the alambre at Margarita Jalisco North. It is amazing and you won't regret it. Say hi to Jorge, who helped create this dish. It is refreshing, not heavy, with layers of flavors that will leave you satisfied. The jumbo margaritas are large enough for two people, and I suggest getting the frozen lime flavor. Overall, you won't be disappointed with your dining experience here.

Always noisy and not the prettiest but good food and the *BEST* margaritas! We had a server we'd not had before she was friendly, helpful, upbeat. I had Guacamole Mexicano with shrimp, fresh and spicy. My companion is vegetarian and loved the massive amount of yummy veggies in her dish (took 1/2 home; I forgot which menu item it was). I added Jorge's Queso (ground beef in white queso another favorite) to take home to enjoy the next night. The patio area is looking nice and I hope for good weather to try it out soon. Indoors there are tables that can be moved to accommodatedifferent party sizes, booths, and bar seating. A handicap parking space is next to the building and the ramp to enter. The restaurant is usually crowded so that could be challenging but I think staff would be helpful for seating and clearing a path to the restroom.

The margaritas were extremely weak. To the point where I doubt there was any alcohol in it. The only meat options for the tacos are ground beef and chicken. I tried both and neither of them had any flavor or seasoning. Do not recommend. The server was great though.
