Applebee's - Topeka

Only at applebee’s for the first time in probably 8yrs, and it will be at least that before I go back. service was ok and was probably quite good by the latest standards (post covid.) that eating was extremely slow to get out of the kitchen about 30 min. I ordered the classic bourbon street steak medium rare. that was one of the worst steaks I ever had. it seemed to be boiled properly, but was so hard I could hardly cut it with a steak knife, let alone chewing it. I had made good steaks much tenderer. I could swallow some bits. the garlic potatoes were tasteless. my wife got the 6oz steak who wasn't better, although she managed to eat about 1/2 before she stopped. When the waiter brought the ticket, he asked if we wanted to crate when we said no and he barely touched the food, he did not want to ask if something was wrong. everything spent in all a good amount of money for terrible eating, for which we had to wait for a long time. only for the case that they wondered that the restaurant was full at less than 25%, so no apology for slow eating. Of course, going to mcdonalds is eating much better and that is very regrettable.

I always receive courteous and friendly service with each visit. I have yet to find a dish I don't like. My last visit I had the Bourbon steak w/grilled onions shrimp, mashed potatoes and house salad. ?

Dusted disgusted. I took 2 of my son's out for a bday meal 8/3/22 we placed a dine in order 1 of my son's made a mention of ppl after us getting their meals I noticed at least a table of roughnecks getting there's before us we've been waiting an hr and I knw those men ordered steaks and meats tht take longer than our burger dishes and a salad. So thn I ask Tyson our waiter hw long? He leaves cms bk with no answer and the manager cms out trying to appease by bringing an app on top of an hr on top of all the other ppl getting theirs of not asking what pref of an app. We were out. There goes the neighborhood Applebee's.

This is the first time I have been here and I was very disappointed in my service tonight. Don't get me wrong the waiter was amazing with a group of 10-12 people. My order was all messed. I got my food after everyone else and they had forgotten to add my appetizer to my 2 for 25$ meal. I was sitting for 2+ hours. The bathroom had smelled badly. It seemed very unorganized. They almost forgot to get my food in. But thank you for a first time.

To start our night, the hostess (Serena) went to sit us in the bar at hightop tables. I asked if we could be seated at a low table and pointed to the 5 to 6 that were empty. She says no... I stopped her there and said if we can 't be seated at a comfortable table we can go to another restaurant. Well she decided we could be seated at a lower (regular) table and grudgingly walked us to a table directly in front of a AC vent so we moved to another table. I figured if they didn 't like it we could leave! We spent our time waiting for our food watching others ask her the same...not to sit in bar. I counted 6 others and quit. You 'd think she would learn to ask table or booth and then if in the bar was fine! Our server and food was awesome! The little hostess needs to not roll her eyes at the customer!!
