21 of us celebrated my sons 18th birthday. We ordered from a pree order menu which had loads of choice. The food was excellent everyone was very happy. They catered for the dietary requirements. Went here today after a lovely walk at the canal. The soup advertised was vegetable and corn chowder. The soup that arrived was a tiny bowl of thin broth with a few vegetables and a handful of frozen corn. 1 slice of bread and butter. £8.50. Not value for money, and definitely not a chowder. I won 't be back!! Chowder is a thick soup prepared with milk or cream, a roux, and seafood or vegetables. Oyster crackers or saltines may accompany chowders as a side item, and cracker pieces may be dropped atop the dish. Wikipedia In response to your curt reply, if you are serving vegan dishes, don 't name it chowder, also not wise to serve 3 pats of butter with it. There was no mention of vegan on your blackboard.
