Lake Range Family Restaurant - Tiverton

This hotel must be upscale, considering the unnecessary extra pillows on the bed.

We decided to give this restaurant a try for breakfast on Sunday, as they advertised themselves as serving both breakfast and dinner.

The restaurant is new and well-maintained, but the thin walls make it easy to hear neighboring tables. Despite this, the breakfast was delicious and the staff was very polite.

There was a large group of us went for dinner....thinking about the "all you can eat" fish and chips. It turns out there are several fish and chip options; one piece and two piece cod, whitefish and the "all you can eat" option which for some reason you have to order specially. My cod was more batter than fish, but tasty. My friend opted for whitefish which was, we thought, sadly overcooked. The poutine wasn't good at all - it's got grated cheeses including something orange on it and the gravy was floury and bland. You do get a heck of a plateful of fries though. Someone else had pork souvlaki and that looked wonderful. There is a salad bar that offered a wide assortment of greens and vegetables.Everything I saw seemed abundant and fresh. Service was good and prices moderate. All in all a good place to take the family, I think.

Love this restaurant.....comfort food at its best....lots of choices.....their skillet meals are awesome....too bad it is closed in the winter
