The drinks were enjoyable, but unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Our server, Alyssa C., seemed uninterested in providing good customer service on Friday night. It's disappointing when a server doesn't treat customers with respect. Throughout our visit, she never spoke to us in a pleasant manner or offered a smile. It felt like she had a negative attitude the entire time. Honestly, we were surprised she even received a tip from us.
I turned back to her and asked if the manager was in. She replied, “No, but his name is Mark; you can call him.” I tried to reach out three times but only got a recorded message with options for catering, management, and so on. Not surprisingly, based on my disappointing experience, I found that the management voicemail box was full and not accepting any new messages.
The menu features classic sports bar fare, including wings, wraps, burgers, flatbread pizzas, tacos, and fried food baskets. The food was enjoyable—nothing groundbreaking, but solid and satisfying. While there's plenty of competition among local sports bars, The Whistle certainly holds its own.
