The Governor's Family

Finally tried breakfast here this morning and was wowed by the fantastic service (both friendly and fast) and amazing food. Large portions and great quality. We will definitely be returning to try more of their menu! Update: we're so happy that The Governor has reopened! The best and friendliest service in town. Called for take out and our order was ready in less than 10 minutes. A must for breakfast in the Dundas/Hamilton area.

Food was good.. I know for a fact if they advertised more as a BAR restaurant they would have more business, the area in the front should be dedicated to drinks and the back for dining. How it was at Noah’s , itd be nice to have a place on this side of town where you’d feel comfortable just having a couple drinks .. no complaints on food but compared to the restaurant that was there before , service of the place in general not satisfactory.. I know it says “family restaurant” the vibe I’m getting is seniors and children. Not a good place for young adults.

We stopped by for a quick breakfast and had a great experience. The Eggs Benedict was delicious, and our server, Lisa, was friendly, attentive, and quick to meet our needs. My 13-year-old son loved the Eggs Benedict so much that he was asking for more. The basic breakfast included four slices of bacon, which was a nice touch.

It's wonderful to have an all-day breakfast spot nearby! My eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of runniness—thank you! I also loved the side of fruit that came with my meal. This is a great start for the newly opened restaurant on Governor's Rd in Dundas. Having an all-day breakfast option within walking distance is exactly what I needed. The decor is bright and cheerful, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the menu is packed with plenty of breakfast options. Plus, getting a big plate of delicious food for just $7.00 was a delightful surprise! They're open daily from 8 AM to 3 PM.

We were in the area to pick up a dryer and stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant! The service and food were exceptional! We ordered two servings of the breakfast poutine (which I highly recommend!) and the Hungry Man. The home fries were delicious, and everything was served hot and fresh. The coffee was also strong and flavorful! We would definitely return if we find ourselves in the area again!
