Lava Cantina The Colony

We don't go for the food, but most of this review is on the food. The service, bartender and show were great. We ordered 4 dishes for our table. The nachos come out in a grinding bowl. This looked cool but I quickly realized this meant the chips werenot spread out resulting in less chips with toppings. We used forks to get some toppings on the second layer of chips. Since thechips are spread out, and it's in a bowl, all the cheese ends up in the bottom of the bowl. Now the bottom chips are a soggymess before you can get close to them. We also ordered the blistered shishito peppers. They were great and there was plenty forthe price. Another item was the loaded fries. I was surprised when they came out as twisted wedges but they were great. The lastitems was the brisket grilled cheese. This was a good size sandwich and battered fries. Excellent choice. I wish I had chose itover the nachos. The staff...had to deal with a person who had entirely too much to drink. They did a great job of being ready,but forceful enough to remove the person.

Cool spot. Great live bands and good crowd. The wings on the buffet look and taste like they came out of the frozen steroid chicken section from the Dollar Store though. Used to be better.

My son and daughter-in-law were married yesterday on the roof of Lava Cantina. The venue, the food and the staff could not have been better! Even if the weather did not cooperate (dipped in the 50s), the staff went out of the way with heating and everything they could do. They even helped us with the decoration. Serena Childress and her staff get a gold star. The guests had a great time and loved everything about this place! Although this was a small wedding of 25 guests, they never rushed us or made us feel less than top priority. Thank you Lava Cantina!

Went to see Blaze of Glory tonight. First time to see this band and visit this venue. Food was great, drinks, amazing and music was awesome. What made this night the best, was our server, Robbie. He did everything he could to accommodate our large group and our every request. We will definitely be back!! Thanks for a fun night out!

Great venue! Brought our tween girls and were a little nervous . Turned out to be fantastic. Makenzie at the bar was super kind. The entire staff provided great service and this foodie was impressed with menu and the food was excellent. They even accommodated our picky eaters. PS My daughter was impressed with the concert restroom and I agree. Cool and clean.
